Beautiful girls…

Friday, May 27th, 2011

This past Holiday Monday I got together with 3 local photographers to talk, and of course photograph some beautiful people. At first I was a little nervous, as all of these photographers are VERY talented, but we all hit if off right from the start and I cant wait to shoot with them again. Please take the time to check out Melissa from Simply Said Photography , Ashley from Ashley Schultz Photography and Sarah from Captiviating Photography by Sarah West .  We started the evening off with two beautiful models and the evening quickly(thunderstorm moved in) with an engagement session which will be posted later tonight.

Please check back for more photos =)

My new found love…

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

I have always loved photos displayed in my house.  And up until yesterday they have always been displayed in a frame, however like I said that was up until yesterday.  I ordered some prints on canvas from a new company(new company for me) and oh how I love them!!!  I love how each image looks like a piece of artwork, and not just a image.  I sat at my computer this am going through all the images that I just must order on canvas too(just dont tell my husband, lol)

Here are some photos that I took.  Im sorry for the lack of creativity, I am obviously not good at taking product pictures ;)

Here you can see the size does matter;)  Here is cow print in canvas in a 16×20

and now this is a 8×10 with a inch frame around it…

Doesnt the 16×20 look much better??

Happy Wednesday Everyone =)

Spring is here!!!

Monday, March 21st, 2011

Another season is upon us and I am SUPER excited!!!  I honestly love all seasons, but with the start of each season I get excited about all the changes.  Spring brings many wonderful changes, the grass starts to become greed, the trees start budding, tulips start popping up and of course outdoor sessions.

One of my fovourite things about spring is tulips.  I LOVE tulips.  To me they are simple and classic.(and if my husband allowed I would have fresh tulips in my house year round!).  So with the welcome of spring I took a couple photos of some tulips that I bought the other day. Hope you enjoy!

I heart faces ~ Sunflare

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

If you asked what my favourite time of the day to shoot at it would be right before the sun sets.  I love how the closer and closer you get to sunset, you see more of those vivid colours and circles in your photos…aaahhh love it!!

So when I saw that this weeks I heart Faces Challenge was Sun flare I knew I had to submit a photo.   However can I chose just one??  After a lot of going back and forth and I decided on this one.  I took this photo from a wedding I shot back in October

Welcome to SSP’s New Home…

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

I cant believe that my site is finally *done*(by done I mean almost, there are still a few things I want to add, so please keep checking back).

I have honestly been working on this for months and for the last few days I have been glued to my seat working hours and hours(and even shed a few tears out of frustration! lol) on getting this site up and running.  I feel proud that I have completed this myself and didnt need to outsource for it(which also means money saved which = more money for a lens =)…).

If you have the time please take a look around and let me know what you think.

Enjoy this beautiful day!
