cant believe that Miss. Natalie will be 1 tomorrow! I was honoured to shoot her newborn photos for her, and was again honoured when her mom asked me about a cake smash.
I have never done a cake smash before but I know that they dont always go as planned. Sometimes the child may just not be in the mood, or just doesnt want to ‘smash’. Natalie however made my job very easy;). As soon as the cake was in front of her she went right for it and had a ‘smashing’ good time=).

When Sue contacted me to do her maternity shoot we had no idea how hot it would be. Even at 9 am the temperature was close to 30, but felt a LOT hotter.
However as hot as it was, you wouldnt have guessed by looking at the photos. Sue and Dave were both glowing with excitement and anticiaption of the arrival of their little bundle.
I had a great time and I cant wait till October!
Last Sunday it was such a beautiful summer day, so as soon as my son and husband went down for their naps I went out for a drive around our area with my camera right beside me. It was a perfect day and I couldnt help but share some images with you=)

Just over 4 years ago I married my husband. The day was perfect and life after that couldnt be better. However I remember the stress of planning that ‘perfect’ day; you need to find ‘the’ dress, the cake, the venue, the photographer, the flowers, and the list goes on. The flowers however were an easy decision for us. Jony went to the same church as us and we had seen the beautiful work she had done in the past for weddings so it was without a doubt that we wanted her to be our florist as well. And she didnt disappoint.
Fast forward 4 years later and she has done my brother in laws wedding, my father in laws wedding, and numerous friends weddings and they all have amazing reviews of how special the flowers turned out.

19 kids and counting. Ok maybe they are not all from the same family but they all are grandchildren. They may not be the next “Dugger” family but this family was full of love and lots of laughter. Cant get better than that;)

My niece had her highschool prom this past friday and boy did it ever bring back memories. The dress, the limo, getting your hair done, oh and the excitement of it all.

This family won a session with me back in November at the “What Women Want” show. They did a winter session and I was very happy to have them back for some warm summer sun=) It was son warm that one of the family members decided to take a ‘dip’ in the lake;)

If I could shoot from 6pm to 8pm every night I would. I LOVE that warm golden sun as its setting. It just makes everything warm and inviting.
This past week I met “”M” and “K” and little Kieran(love this name!) just after 6 and it was perfect! From his adorable smile, to the love that his parents have for him, it was a great shoot.

I love black and white images. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE colour, but I absolutely love how black and white images really allows you to focus on the emotion of the image.
I did this shoot a couple weeks ago and as I was editing I knew that I wanted to do this post in black and white. This family has been blessed with a 4th child, and I know there isnt a day that goes by that they dont cherish baby Jacob.
